Garage floors especially, endure significant wear and tear from the weight of heavy vehicles, power tools, and other items stored in garages. Over time, concrete floors can deteriorate, developing cracks and a powdery surface due to heavy traffic and dropped items. Applying a coating to your garage or other concrete floor will provide a protective seal, preventing moisture and accidental spills from staining the floor. Because they are non-porous epoxy coatings repel gas and oil.

Concrete & Garage Floor - Epoxy Coating Process

EPOXY GARAGE FLOOR/ COATINGS:


We will power wash the concrete garage floor and etch with muriatic acid than allow for 24 dry time. There will then be two coats of Tile Clad 2-part epoxy which is a solvent-based product. The color is to be determined. The first coat will be reduced by 15- 20%, the second coat will be reduced by 5-10 % for final coat (depending on color). We then apply the clear coat “Armorseal Rexthane” which is an impact-resistant; chemical-resistant; and fast hardness development with the decorative flakes and anti-skid


NOTE:

The epoxy coating requires time to cure. Once the coating process is completed, you can walk on the floor 48 hours later but must not park vehicles or move heavy items back in the garage for an additional 4 days.
